The course focuses on using Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco routers connected in local-area networks (LANs) and wide-area networks (WANs) typically found in small to medium network sites. Upon completing this course, the student gains skills in selecting, connecting, configuring, and troubleshooting the various Cisco networking devices.
This course comprehensively introduces deploying Cisco routers in an inter-networked environment. Through extensive hands-on exercises, students gain the fundamental knowledge and skills to install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers. It also prepares students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification Exam.
Cisco routers are increasingly used to provide reliable and efficient corporate-wide Internetwork solutions. To successfully deploy Cisco routers, networking professionals must thoroughly understand their features and functions. The CCNA certification indicates a foundation in and apprentice networking knowledge for the small office/home office (SOHO) market.
